MMSC Sucessfully Completes Orion Architecture Assessment with Montana Department of Revenue
For the past three months, Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp (MMSC) has been working with the Montana Department of Revenue to assess the state's property tax assessment system, Orion. MDOR has been experiencing performance issues with the Orion application. Due to multiple complaints from the Orion users such as "spinning clocks" from database lock-up, slow performance, and other mounting issues, MDOR decided there was a need for a system review. MMSC was hired to perfom an independent assessment of the Orion system to identify opportunities for system improvement. MMSC performed five in-depth technical evaluations to analyze the Orion system. MMSC identified areas of improvement for MDOR and presented the results in a Performance Report, Executive Summary and Action Plan. This past Friday, MMSC successfully completed the Orion Architecture Assessment after presenting their findings and Action Plan to the Department of Revenue.
