Contract with the Montana Department of Administration Information Technology Services Division Awarded to MMSC
MMSC has been awarded a Staff Augmentation Contract with the Montana Department of Administration Information Technology Services Division. The Staff Augmentation position is for a Word Macro Developer/Visual Basic Programmer that will be revising Microsoft Word Bill Drafting Macros originally created by the Legislative Services Division. The macros need to be updated from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and be ready for the bill drafters to use for the 2011 Legislative session. MMCS’s candidate, a seasoned programmer with 15 years experience, was chosen to be the best applicant for the position.
MMSC Continues work with Helena Public Schools
After being hired to work with Helena Public Schools for two separate projects, MMSC continues to work with the school district to move their technology initiatives forward. This past week, MMSC met with the IT staff at Helena Public Schools to provide them the initial results of our Wireless Survey. The study was performed in response to Helena Public School’s request for a review of their wireless network performance. MMSC prepared a baseline analysis of the wireless capacities at Smith Schools (the pilot site in the district). The baseline analysis includes measurements of the performance of the wireless access, network traffic and network backbone capacities relating to wireless traffic.
Staff Augmentation Contract awarded to MMSC with Montana Office of Public Instruction
MMSC was awarded a contract for Staff Augmentation with the Montana Office of Public Instruction. The contract, a Staff Augmentation position for a .NET Application Developer, required the candidate develop VB.NET applications for the Office of Public Instruction’s Accreditation Department. MMSC’s candidate, the top candidate out of 22 applicants, is a veteran application developer with 25 years of industry experience.
MMSC supports Habitat for Humanity with Gold Level Sponsorship and new website
Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp. was proud to partner with Morrison-Maierle Inc. as a gold sponsor of the Habitat for Humanity-Mid Yellowstone Valley 2010 fundraising event. The B.A.S.H.H. was held at the Billings Convention Center on April 24th and raised thousands of dollars for derserving families in the area. The event featured a gourmet dinner, live music, reverse raffle and a fantastic live and silent auction. Along with the sponsorship, Nick Britton and Allison Ohman, from our web services division, redesigned and developed a brand new website for the organization.
MMSC Wins Technical Writing Contract with the State of Montana
MMSC has been award a Staff Augmentation Contract with the Department of Administration Information Technology Services Division Enterprise Operations Group. The contract is for an IT Technical Writer that will write, edit, and revise IT documentation for ITSD Enterprise Operations. MMSC’s candidate scored the highest out of fifteen potential applicants. We are very excited about this opportunity and are pleased that we can offer the State of Montana a highly qualified technical writer to assist ITSD Enterprise Operations.
MMSC Increases Collaboration Efforts with the State of Montana with a full-time State Liaison
In our continuing effort and collaboration with the State of Montana, Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp. (MMSC) is proud to announce the addition of a State & Local Government Account Manager. For the past two years, MMSC manager Julie Clay has been working with the State on a part time basis. As our work and opportunities with the State have grown, Ms. Clay will now be a full time liaison in Helena, Montana and will continue to further develop our relationship with several State departments.
2009 Montana Bankers Association Security Conference held in Bozeman, MT
Sponsored by MMSC, and offered by the Montana Bankers Association, the 2009 MBA Security Conference was held on October 8th in Bozeman, Montana. With new and persistent threats and the addition of mobile banking, about 30 banking professionals charged with compliance and security were in attendance.
State of Montana adds MMSC to Staff Augmentation Contract
The State of Montana added MMSC (Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp) to the Staff Augmentation category of the Master IT contract. MMSC will be joining a team of vendors that were selected alongside MMSC based on years of experience in managing, developing and implementing critical business solutions.
With a top 10 vendor ranking, MMSC has already secured a contract with the Department of Environmental Quality.
Dave O’Meara, an MMSC software developer specializing in Oracle, is working with the department on the Revenue and Accounts Receivable Project. This challenging project will provide an enterprise solution to link its legacy systems with the State of Montana’s centralized accounting and financial system, SABHRS.
Led by MMSC’s state liaison, Julie Clay, MMSC continues to work on securing other application development and technical service contracts while developing more relationships with key State partners.
Billings largest area public school fundraiser sponsored by MMSC
Morrison-Maierle Systems has joined area businesses as a sponsor of Saturday Live, the area's largest public school fundraiser. Returning to Pioneer Park for the 16th year, Saturday Live begins on Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until 4:00 that afternoon. Saturday Live is an all-day outdoor carnival to benefit the 39 Billings area public schools and the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools, an independent, non-profit foundation established to enhance education opportunities. As always, there will be lively games, imaginative booths, food galore, and live entertainment.
